Suspect of attempt on head of Dagestan MIA has no complaints of pressure, his lawyer says

Today, Adilgerei Omarov, advocate of Shamsullah Borziev, a resident of Rakhat village, Botlikh District, and a detainee as suspect of the murder attempt on Adilgerei Magomedtagirov, Interior Minister of Dagestan, said that he had visited his client at the temporary isolation facility (known as "IVS") of the MIA of North Ossetia.

Dagestan militiamen demand dismissal of Bastrykin, ICPO boss

The independent trade union of law enforcers and prosecutors of Dagestan made a decision at its assembly to address a letter to President of Russia Dmitri Medvedev and Chairman of the Council of Federation of the Russian Federal Assembly Sergey Mironov. In their letter Dagestan power agents ask to consider impossibility for Alexander Bastrykin to stay in the post of the head of the Investigatory Committee at the Prosecutor's Office (ICPO) of Russia.

Chief Physician of RCH fined in Dagestan

As regarded by the Prosecutor's Office and Antimonopoly Service, the Chief Physician of the largest medical establishment of Dagestan - the Republic's Clinical Hospital (RCH) - has broken the legislation on purchase and circulation of medical products and medical equipment; therefore he was fined by 50,000 roubles.

Dagestan: residents are negative to overall fingerprinting

Activists of public and political circles of Dagestan have criticized the offer of Alexander Bastrykin, head of the Investigatory Committee at the Prosecutor's Office (ICPO) of Russia to take fingerprints of all residents of Northern Caucasus. In their opinion, the procedure would break the rights of residents of the region, which is a full-fledged part of Russia, not an enclave inhabited exclusively by criminals.

In Dagestan, militia detains and releases human rights activist

Today, Rasul Magomedov, a resident of Balakhani village, Untsukul District, a teacher of the local secondary school and a member of the human rights organization "Mothers of Dagestan for Human Rights", has stated that he was kept till late at night by militiamen in one of the rooms of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Dagestan without any explanations.
